The Aftermath

well, Dolly's done for (but the songs are still in my head) and now all that's left is to clean up the wreckage.

i have a job interview today, not one i really want, but one that would be better than many others.
updates later on how it turns out.

*update. Just back from the interview, i think it went really well, except for the fact that the person who was supposed to interview me wasn't there.

Oh, well, i have a bigger bone to grind (i know, i know, i just mixed cliche metaphors): typing tests.
two interviews i've had so far included a typing test. i did far better on this one than the last (thank you, regular blog entries) but i'm still a little Pissed off at the futility of it.

i sat there taking this thing over and over for half an hour just to get an extra bleeding 2% on correctitude. that's right, in the age of spell checkers, they want 95% or better. 93%'s just not good enough. but considering the fact that yu'll have to run spellcheck either way, if you're going to bust balls, shouldn't you up it to 100%?

anyway, as most of you know, i don't expend a great deal of effort in these online posts (see this post) so, naturally a typing test based on accuracy is going to irk me.

i'm beginning to wonder now whether my lack of proper formating may be detrimental to my readership, and i'm thinking it is, so if i remember, i'm going to start typing my entries in word adn posting them up later.
